Do you really run it through the Levelator before you add into & outro music?

Paul Colligan said:
Yes, but do realize that the intro and outro music have already been run through the Levelator so … they're leveled as well.
We sometimes use the pieces on elements outside of the Podcast so we need each of them levelated accordingly.

i just listened to #68 and I look forward to learning more about podcasting. I enjoy the uncomplicated speech because not everyone is a techie. I hope to continue learning about blogging, podcasting, webinars and the like from two of the smartest men the net.

I listened to your podcast from a few years ago - where you (Paul) and Alex were creating your Podcast Secrets eBook. At that time, you said this eBook would be available shortly.
Thank you for freely posting the audio for these sessions; they provided a lot of insight into the two of you and also to the eBook product you were creating.
I would like to see the price of this eBook, but when I go to podcast secrets dot com, the site shows: "Podcast Secrets 2008 is now closed. This is a waiting list only."
I don't want to go on the waiting list for the seminar, I want to buy the eBook.
Where can I get the eBook?
Thanks,
Clyde

Hi Paul -
Thanks so much for the video.
I was wondering what software tools you used and seeing this really helped!

Maybe this is a silly question, do you talk on the phone with a headset on, and then record with the microphone in front of you?
How exactly do you 'talk' and 'record' at the same time?
Thanks for all the valuable information!

Hi Paul, quick question.. How do you link your phone line into your computer such that you can initiate and participate in the phone conversation to begin with?

Paul,
I'm curious about why you run the audio through the levelator AFTER combining, and not run each track through individually?
I also think I missed exactly how you're making a call AND recording the audio? Is the call maybe just on an ordinary phone with a handsfree headset, or are you using some sort of digital phone hybrid to interface?
Thanks for the great content!
Kind regards,
-John.

answer first question - the fewer times i run levelator, the fewer steps needed.
the phone in one ear. the microphone running. no need for complicated (expensive) setups.
