Didn't Alex miss the point of the question? It wasn't "Is the iPod Touch the ultimate seminar delivery device," but "Is the iPod Touch the ultimate podcatching device." I have to say those MP4 players of Dan Safkow's look terrific for the price, but the wi-fi/web browser/iTunes Wireless aspect of the iPod Touch is what makes it interesting for podcasters and podcast listeners who are looking for a device that lets them find, subscribe to, download, and play podcasts.
If playback is all you want, the Movox seems like the way to go. I don't own an iPod (I'm using a Sandisk Sansa m230), and don't like iTunes, but I've been searching for a long time for something that my mother, who doesn't own a computer, could use to get podcasts, so I wouldn't have to keep making CDs for her every time I record a contribution to a show.
BTW, there's no link to the comments from the main blog page, so I had to guess that if I clicked the post headline, I'd get a chance to comment. You might want to include that tip in point 1 of your sidebar on "The Conversation."

Unfortunately, the iPod Touch doesn't appear to be able to automatically download podcasts that are part of podcast subscriptions over WiFi. That feature would indeed make it the ultimate device.
Thoughts?

Yes I got my Ipod Touch on Monday and was very disappointed that I cannot download any podcasts to the unit wirelessly. I can only do it via iTunes. I wish I could remove the Itunes button as it is only for buying music and I already have the songs I just wanted to have the ability for the free podcasts!

It is very tearful that the touch can't get them pesky downloads podcasts straight on to it through wireless interweb. Tut tut.

Well, the ultimate question here should be, will the iTunes feature on the Touch be available anytime that will allow the downloading of podcasts via wifi?
